Peter P. Zawaly, II. was admitted to the practice of law in 1973, and immediately began his trial practice with the Cleveland , Ohio headquartered, multi-city and international law firm of Arter & Hadden, the oldest and largest litigation firm west of the Allegany mountains. Thereafter, he became a named partner in the Canton , Ohio law firm of Vogelgesang, Howes, Lindamood & Zawaly, where he continued his trial practice, and served as the firm's managing partner. In 1985, Peter joined the law firm of Jacobson, Maynard, Tuschman & Kalur, Co., LPA, another multi-city, exclusively litigation law firm, headquartered in Cleveland . It was this law firm that brought Peter to Columbus , Ohio , in 1987, as the managing principal of it's Columbus office, and he has practiced here ever since, most recently, and prior to joining the Price Law Firm, LLC, as a sole practitioner in The Zawaly Lawfirm, located in Dublin , Ohio .
Peter earned his Bachelor's degree from the State University of New York, College at Fredonia (B.A. 1967), where he was elected the President of the Student Government Association, and, upon graduation, served as the colleges Assistant Registrar. He then moved to Cleveland to become the Assistant Director of Admissions & Records at The Cleveland State University, where he then attended the university's Cleveland – Marshall College of Law, obtaining his law degree, Magna Cum Laude , (J.D. 1973).
Peter is licensed to practice in the State of Ohio, Ohio Supreme Court (1973); in the United States District Court, Northern District of Ohio (1974); in the United States District Court, Southern District of Ohio (2004); in the United States Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit (1981); and, in the United States Supreme Court (1981). He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, and its Litigation Section. For almost his entire practice, Peter has been privileged to be designated as a Martindale-Hubble “ A-V ” rated lawyer, which is the highest rating, for both competency and integrity, as determined by other lawyers.
Peter lives in Dublin , Ohio with his wife of 39 years, Joyce, who is a fourth grade teacher in the Dublin City School District . They have a son, Justin, who is a Vice-President at Fifth Third Bank, in Cincinnati , where he resides with his wife, Sarah, and the Zawaly's two marvelous grandsons, Samuel and Quintin. Peter has been active in the Dublin community, having served as the Chairman of St. Brigid of Kildare's New Church Building Committee; Trustee and President of the Muirfield Association, and, Dublin City Councilman, where he chaired the Charter Review and Revision Commission.
